We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients.
Position Overview:
The Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)will work directly with children on the Autism Spectrum to implement individualized ABA therapy programs under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will be responsible for delivering one-on-one therapy sessions, collecting data on client progress, and supporting the overall treatment plan. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and are interested in a career in ABA therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement ABA Therapy Programs:
- Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions in home, school, or clinic settings, following the treatment plan designed by the BCBA.
- Use evidence-based techniques to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and reinforce positive behaviors.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors, responses, and progress during therapy sessions.
- Maintain detailed session notes and submit timely reports to the supervising BCBA.
Client Interaction and Support:
- Build and maintain a positive, supportive relationship with the child and their family.
- Encourage and motivate clients to engage in therapy activities and achieve their goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
Assist with Assessments:
- Support the BCBA in conducting assessments by providing input and observations.
- Help track progress towards treatment goals and suggest adjustments to the therapy plan as needed.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Oversee accurate and timely data collection by RBTs and other team members.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions.
Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in ABA therapy.
- Attend regular supervision meetings with the BCBA to review client progress and receive feedback.
Maintain Professionalism:
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold and maintain a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing ABA therapy, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and the use of ABA software tools.
